Labradorite, a lovely and prismatic semi-precious stone, was first recognized by modern man in 1770, when it was found on the Canadian peninsula of Labrador and the islands nearby.  It was believed, by the Newfoundland Inuit, the stone projected what we call the Northern Lights into the sky, and named the material "fire rock."

In this handmade watch, we have used Bali sterling silver beads between each oval Labradorite stone.  The watch face is silver plate; the lobster clasp is sterling silver.  The watch is 8 9/16" in length.
